The Black Dahlia
On January 15, 1947, 22 year old Elizabeth Short was discovered dead on Norton Avenue. This case was known as Hollywood's most famous murder case. It was known as the most famous murder case because she was found in two pieces. Not only was she found cut in half, but her killer cut 3 inch gashes into the corners of her mouth. The gashes cut into the corner of her mouth made a spooky look, as if it was a clown smiling. There were lack of evidence in this murder case, so finding a victim was impossible. Before her death, she was grieving over the death of a man she fell in love with. She acted as a friend to many men while visiting clubs, making it impossible to find out who she has been with last before her death. |
The Zodiac Killings
Once there was a killer who sent letters to San Francisco newspapers who called himself the Zodiac. This unknown killer killed about 5 residents and possibly even more than 5. This mystery has started on December 20th, 1968. There was a case where a couple got shot to death as they sat in their car on a lover's lane. Once this killer kills someone, 10 months later he strikes again. He shot a couple in a park, approached and stabbed a man and women near a lake, as well as he shot a taxi driver in the head. This case was supposedly entertaining because he would mess with the police and reporters by sending coded letters to newspapers. He took what he did serious and sent a bloody shirt to prove to the police and reporters that he is who he is. He once threatened to kill children on a school bus by shooting them. People were sent in for questioning but the Zodiac killer was never found and still is not. |
